A multinational AI-powered precision technology manufacturer has partnered with Joynus to help identify a Human Resources Generalist for their branch located in San Diego, California. Our client offers a wide range of award-winning, patented equipment used for micro-electronics ranging from cell phones, EV cars to semiconductors and robotic surgery equipment. The candidate will be joining a dynamic organization and play a crucial role in collaborating with both administration and engineers at their research & development hub for artificial intelligence and deep learning technologies. 

This position is an administrative position that reports to the Head of Administration and plays a critical role in the overall day to day employee experience in the workplace. This position ensures that the best possible talent is sourced to join our dynamic organization and that employees have a consistently positive experience during and after onboarding, while also ensuring the best people practices and legal compliance. Additionally, the HR Generalist will support HRIS data integrity, onboarding, talent development, culture development, and other projects as assigned.

  • Ensure strong diversity recruitment and compliance of our hiring process, and workforce planning
    • Implement organization recruiting strategy
    • Prepare job descriptions with Hiring Managers
    • Coordinate job posting and communicate with recruiters
    • Create interview schedules
    • Conduct initial phone screening and HR interview
    • Conduct reference and background checks
    • Ensure new hire paperwork is completed and processed
    • Review and file recruitment contracts
    • Processing transfers, promotions, and terminations in payroll system
    • Assist with visa status management and processing
    • Complete Employment verification requests
  • Educate newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations
    • Prepare new hire credentials and equipment
    • Host new hire orientation on company history, policy, and benefits.
    • Verify Company Account registrations for Expense and Travel
  • Maintain HRIS data integrity for compensation, withholding, and position changes.
    • Update monthly organizational chart
  • Assist with benefit enrollments including Health Insurance and 401K.
  • Perform payroll processing and monitor balance on payroll account
    • Health Insurance/401K plan administration
    • Maintaining records of employee participation in all training and development programs
  • Evaluate employee performance and appraise their pay scale accordingly
    • Performing job evaluations and job analyses
    • Conducting and analyzing compensation surveys
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors
    • Be the first responders for employee grievances and complaints
    • Address any employment relations issues, such as work complaints and harassment allegations
    • Oversee engagement programs and other employee relations work
    • Employee Issue Investigation
  • Maintain company policies and procedures (Employee Handbook) and legal compliance
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in processes and/or procedures, develop solution, implement, and provide training as needed
  • Office management duties as assigned
  • Support for CEO and Head of Administration
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or relevant field
  • Master’s degree in Human Resource preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience working in Human Resources
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team
  • Strong understanding of federal, state and local HR regulations
  • Must have excellent work ethics, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures.
  • Experience working with Korean based company a plus
  • Bilingual in Korean, highly desired
